This MAJOR issue has been talked about before...

I can not even get my forums to come up in Google period. I gave up, even though my own domain WEB site is rated number 1 or 2 with the most relevant search terms.

Google has had evedev.com indexed for a couple of months now. In Eve 1.2 changes were made to make the URLs more search-engine friendly, so that Google and other engines will pick up your content easier.

Yes, as Magus` indicated, the old URLs still work, so you don't need to worry about backwards compatibility.
